How we handle your data.
This policy describes how Salacia processes the personal data you may share with us through this website, in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Loi Informatique et Libertés.
1 · Data controller
The data controller is SALACIA — SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS, SAS, registered office 3 rue du Parc de Buc, 78530 Buc, France, RCS Versailles B 990 615 262. For any privacy-related request, contact contact@salacia.fr.
2 · Data we collect
We only collect personal data that you voluntarily provide through the contact form on the Contact page:
- Your name (required)
- Your email address (required)
- Your company or organization (optional)
- The subject of your enquiry (optional)
- The content of your message
- Your explicit consent to this processing
For security and anti-abuse purposes, our server also logs the IP address and timestamp of each submission. This is based on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3 · Legal basis and purpose
Data submitted via the contact form is processed on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the checkbox on the form.
The sole purpose is to respond to your enquiry. Your data is not used for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
4 · Retention
Contact form data is retained for a maximum of twelve (12) months from your last interaction, unless an ongoing business relationship justifies a longer retention (in which case data is kept for the legal duration applicable). IP/timestamp logs are retained for thirty (30) days.
5 · Recipients
Your data is accessed only by authorized Salacia team members who need it to respond to your enquiry. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data may be processed by our hosting provider IONOS SARL (France) as part of standard server operations. IONOS acts as our data processor under an agreement compliant with Article 28 GDPR.
6 · International transfers
Personal data processed through this website is stored on servers within the European Union. We do not transfer your data outside the EU/EEA.
7 · Third-party resources
This website loads typography from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). When a font is loaded, your browser sends a request to Google’s servers, which may receive your IP address. Google states that Google Fonts does not set cookies or track users.
If you prefer not to have any data transmitted to Google, a browser extension can block external font requests — the site remains functional with your system’s default fonts. We plan to self-host fonts in a future update.
8 · Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Access (Art. 15) — obtain a copy of your data
- Rectification (Art. 16) — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure (Art. 17) — request deletion
- Restriction (Art. 18) — limit processing
- Portability (Art. 20) — receive your data in a structured format
- Objection (Art. 21)
- Consent withdrawal (Art. 7-3) — at any time, without affecting prior processing
To exercise these rights, email contact@salacia.fr. We will respond within one month. If you consider your rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with the French data protection authority: CNIL.
9 · Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS). Access to submitted form data is restricted to authorized personnel through authenticated email channels.
10 · Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version is always on this page. Substantial changes will be communicated via a notice on the website.
