Salacia took the stage at VivaTech 2026 in Paris to present its approach to transforming marine biomass into renewable fuels and valuable co-products, and to share the broader industrial vision behind the company’s development.
The pitch highlighted the opportunity to address two major challenges simultaneously: the recurring accumulation of sargassum in coastal territories and the growing demand for resilient, lower-carbon fuel supply chains. By treating difficult marine biomass as a resource rather than solely as a waste-management problem, Salacia aims to create new industrial value while contributing to the energy transition.
The presentation also focused on the importance of developing scalable and locally integrated systems capable of connecting biomass collection, conversion and downstream fuel production. This approach reflects Salacia’s ambition to build an industrial platform that can progressively move from technical validation toward commercial deployment.
VivaTech provided another opportunity to engage with entrepreneurs, investors, industrial groups and innovation stakeholders around the role marine biomass could play in future renewable-energy systems.
